Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using GULFACTIVE (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use GULFACTIVE.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• One person, one account. Multi-account abuse may result in suspension.

3. Listings and content

• You are solely responsible for the content you post (text, images, prices, contact details).
• You must own the rights to the photos and information you upload, or have permission to use them.
• Listings must be accurate, lawful and posted in the correct category and country.
• By posting, you grant GULFACTIVE a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and promote your listing on the platform.

4. Prohibited items and activities

You may not list, sell or advertise:

• Illegal items, weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, stolen property.
• Adult content, escort services, items that exploit minors.
• Live animals from unlicensed sellers; wildlife protected under CITES.
• Recalled products, hazardous materials, prescription medication.
• Government-issued documents, IDs, passports, visas.
• Multi-level marketing schemes, pyramid schemes, "get rich quick" offers.
• Job offers requiring upfront fees from candidates.

You also agree not to spam, scrape, reverse-engineer, harass other users, or attempt to bypass our security and fee structures.

5. Marketplace role

GULFACTIVE is a venue that connects buyers, sellers, employers and candidates. We are not a party to any transaction, employment relationship or rental agreement. We don't verify every listing or user — please use the safety guideand your own judgement before paying or sharing personal information.

6. Membership and payments

• Membership is $10/month or $90/year (subject to change with notice).
• The paid-membership requirement for Motors, Property and Hiring posts begins 1 July 2026; until then all posting is free.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime — access continues to the end of the current period.
• Refunds follow our refund policy and applicable consumer law.

7. Ratings and reviews

Ratings must reflect a real interaction. Fake, retaliatory or incentivised reviews are prohibited and may be removed. Defamatory or unlawful reviews will be deleted on report.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, post prohibited content, engage in fraud or harm other users — with or without notice. You may close your account at any time from your dashboard.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of listings, or the conduct of any user.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GULFACTIVE is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or any transaction with another user.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Dubai, unless otherwise required by local consumer protection law.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
